Sne and staff make you feel welcomed as soon as one arrives. Positives: My wife and I enjoyed our 5 days here in December. So, don't hesitate to book your getaway or vacation here, just don't take the last room when we want to go!! … His response was something to the effect of, "Hope it gets better". I remember commenting to Sne upon arrival our first time that the Inn presents itself to a very good first impression. As a past frequent traveler often for extended stays, nowhere have I felt at home and welcomed like you will here in 15 minutes. We look forward to leaving the stress at the bottom of the very old stairs leading to the most inviting porch and accommodations in Ocean City. We have already booked our third and fourth stays. Our visit this past October was our second time. But, what the this B&B is charming, relaxing and a throwback to the days of personal customer service and charm. Hesitate to describe the amazing, clean and fresh rooms, the friendly and welcoming Fab Four and supporting staff or the superb location. Hesitate to encourage the throngs to visit this peaceful, welcoming gem in Ocean City. Wow, I hesitate to write a glowing review of a place and a vibe that seemed to be long gone. While parking locally can be a challenge, the Inn does provide spots off-street. Classic swing music playing from an old style radio sets a relaxing ambiance for a beverage on the comfortable front porch cooled by ceiling fans. The Inn does a great job evoking a mood of times past beyond the friendly greeting. His professional architectural training is evident throughout, as we see thoughtful and appropriate upgrades each time we visit, blending the history of the building with contemporary needs. He is very friendly, has a sense of humor, and makes a conscious effort to remember guests names an appreciated and not easily mastered art. The Innkeeper Sne is a pretty cool dude in his own right (how many innkeepers do you know get around town on a skateboard ?). Staff members very friendly and accommodating, and the only uniform requirement of the appropriately-dressed staff are they wear these cool Panama hats. Room size is sufficient as is summer air conditioning coming from someone who minds the heat and humidity. The Scarborough Inn is a fun and sophisticated small hotel. Highly recommended and we’ll be back! Two blocks to the beach and boardwalk-you can’t beat that! Thanks so much for everything!… Well done Sne on all your hard work, passion, and generosity during our stay. Finally, Sne will point you in any direction you wish to explore and has suggestions for places you didn’t even know you would love dine at or enjoy visiting, in and around the Ocean City area. A tasty variety of warm and cold breakfast options that you can sit down and enjoy or just grab and go await you each morning. By the sound of it there are even more great ideas on the horizon with regards to the inn itself but also with fun events to come. Sne has been working very hard and it shows. The Scarborough now has it all-the charm of a beautiful Victorian building with incredible fresh clean updated rooms. As much as we loved Sne, Nicole, and the rest of the team, ultimately you want a clean comfortable and inviting place to stay. That being said, you can absolutely stay at the Scarborough and keep completely to yourself if that is what you are looking for. My husband and I instantly fed off their positive energy and service and realized that if desired, we were about to make two new friends -which they have indeed become, due in great part to what Sne has encouraged-the revival of ‘porch culture’, whereby any guest who so desires may join in a nightly round of fun and entertaining conversation, along with a couple of beverages if you wish. We were greeted by both Sne, the new Innkeeper, and Nicole, assistant Innkeeper, with their warm welcome and flawless check in, and our fantastic time at the Scarborough had begun. I am happy to say from the moment you walk across the grand porch of this wonderful old Victorian inn and into the lobby, you will instantly breathe a sigh of relief and relaxation lying in store for you. I had heard of the recent change of Innkeeper and his renovation projects at the Scarborough. I’ve been visiting OCNJ for many years and returned to The Scarborough Inn this July for an anniversary celebration trip.
